Tyra Pays Homage to Late, Great Designer Alexander McQueen
Tyra Banks has decided to come out of her modeling retirement and re-signed with her previous agency, IMG. Banks left the runway in 2005 to concentrate on her television projects including 'America's Next Top Model' and 'The Tyra Banks Show.' With her talk show coming to a close, Tyra is putting time into what made her famous in the first place.
Her first order of business will be a tribute to her late friend, Alexander McQueen. She wore head to toe McQueen in an over the top fashion spread for her online magazine. "McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community," she said in her site. "I would like to think that he would have loved these photos."
That is not that only way that Banks has decided to honor the fashion royalty. She has dedicated the latest and final season of 'America's Next Top Model' to the designer. Alexander McQueen died in February when he took his own life.
Banks is also working on a book, "Modelland," that will be released in the summer of 2011.

Fan of a Fan: Chris Brown & Tyga
Chris Brown and the Young Money rapper Tyga, recently dropped their mixtape entitled "Fan of a Fan" Hosted by DJ Ill Will & DJ Rockstar. Named so because of their dedication and fan-like love to their fans. Most tracks on this mixtape were produced by KMack & Jahlil Beats This mixtape consists of 18 songs and 2 Bonus songs. A couple of which features CB rapping. He seems to have picked up the Young Money metaphor rapping style. Hmmmm...wonder what that may lead to.
There is this one song titled "Ain't Thinkin Bout You " featuring Bow Wow. This song is CLEARLY dedicated to Rihanna. An excerpt of the lyrics are:
"But its all good, me and you finished
got a ball player but a nigga aint trippin
and I aint sayin that he dont love you.
but i dont think he love like I do
but its ohkay its alright
my blackberrys filled wit a whole bunch of women
wasting time.
steady tryna get you back
get you back in my life
you dont care you dont care."
Looks like someone is not over their island lover.

"But now I realize that this record business
really needs me. No one else is trying to take a chance or do something
different. The kind of music or the kind of arrangements that I do, the
kind of musicians I choose, is just what I like to hear. Anything that
had to do with art I been doing all my life. It was a gift. It's nothing
I work real hard at doing. I planned my success. I knew it was going to
happen. What does music mean to me? I don't think I would really be
much without it, without it coming through me. It's my means of
communication, my means of growth, my means of transportation from one
point in my life to another. I believed in myself, and I've always
worked very, very hard as an artist, and I am an artist in every sense
of the word. And I figured out that the reason I couldn't get through
the day as well as I can now is because I had too many things on my
mind, on my plate, you know, for one person to have. So I started to
eliminate some of the things that were too heavy to carry and
unnecessary."
